Bred to be a lady but raised to best any man.

Adalyn Fairleigh of Fairleigh Manor is more than meets the eye. She is also the Pirate Queen, sailing with her loyal crew and her first love and first mate Logan. When she captures the attention of Lord Nathaniel Blackstone of Montagor, he is sorely underprepared for her wit, bravery, and passion. But only one man can ever tame her carefree and wild heart.

Rose of the Winds is a wild adventure on the open seas, one filled with betrayal, swashbuckling, and romance.

Praise for this book

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I picked up this book, but what I got was AWESOME!
The story of Addy is a tumultuous one. She's a pirate captain. She's after revenge for the death of her father. She gains loyalty where ever she goes. She needs medicine to keep her alive.

I could go on, but one of several things that struck me t was the writing of these characters. Each one who is mentioned at length is fully fleshed out and complete characters. (side note: Grissom was my favorite)

Another is the language Author Masterson chooses for each character and how they are cognizant of their own language choices. Addy, especially, code switches her diction and is annoyed when she forgets to.

Overall, a well written adventure story with many swashes to buckle (or as it also has romantic portions - unbuckle), fights, and enjoyable pacing.

his is such and amazing book ...but that is NOT surprising considering the author! This is definitely not a typical genre for K A. Masterson, but she does nothing half-a**ed! I loved it so much!

This book is filled with adventure where the captain of the ship is a noble born woman who has chosen to be a pirate. She kicks butt and takes names. She is not a damsel in distress and most defiantly doesn’t need a man to save her. Although having a few around to help out doesn’t hurt. I love this book, the plot makes sense, the characters are well thought out. There isn’t a dull moment. I highly recommend it.
